History

1. The power that drives society begins with someone’s creative ideas, and in a constantly changing society, academic research plays a fundamental role in sharing society’s decision-making processes and bringing about substantive change. In this sense, changes in the world begin with researchers’ papers that identify social issues, while accumulated research achievements provide a logical basis for legislation and create a virtuous cycle through which they develop into government policies and institutions.
   Particularly in an increasingly internationalized society, these papers reach researchers from more countries and diverse backgrounds, providing new academic inspiration and becoming interconnected through citation and indexing systems. Through this process of connection and accumulation, knowledge and information are continuously disseminated and reproduced throughout the international academic ecosystem, leading to new knowledge and research and further expanding their influence.
2. The Association was established on June 23, 2015, and published its inaugural issue the following year after a one-year period of preparation. It was founded on the belief that published articles should convey the academic achievements of researchers from non-English-speaking countries to “researchers of diverse ethnic backgrounds in more distant countries,” thereby contributing to the academic development of local communities. Based on this belief, the Society continues to fulfill its responsibility within the international academic ecosystem, where local communities communicate with the world.
3. Beyond the traditional boundaries of academic publishing, the Association, as the first publishing group in Northeast Asia capable of meeting international standards, is making regional research more meaningful. In particular, each journal serves as a catalyst for positive influence through interdisciplinary relationships, contributing to the realization of compassionate social values.

1. Open Access publishing is both the publishing philosophy and principle of the Society, based on the belief that barriers to accessing academic journals should be lowered and the free dissemination of research outcomes should be promoted. There are various types of Open Access publishing, including Gold, Green, Hybrid, Bronze, and Diamond. Among these, the Society’s journals are published as Gold Open Access, under which the final published versions of articles are freely available to everyone. This ensures that research outcomes are not limited to paid subscribers but can be freely shared worldwide, in accordance with the purposes of establishment set forth in Article 3 of the Society’s Articles of Association.
2. The Association’s ten journals are published as Open Access under the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC BY) and are distributed worldwide immediately upon publication. They are made available through online platforms such as Google, EBSCO, ProQuest, and Ex Libris on an Open Access basis (free of charge), providing an environment in which not only researchers in low-income countries but also a broader international community of researchers can more easily access and use the published research.

Paper Submission Ethics

1. Statement of Informed Consent and Institutional Review Board Approval Copies of written informed consent documents should be kept for studies on human subjects, which includes identifiable information or sensitive information. For clinical studies of human subjects, a certificate, agreement, or approval by the Institutional Review Board (IRB) of the author’s institution is required. If necessary, the editor or reviewers may request copies of these documents to resolve questions about IRB approval and study conduct.
2. Statement of Human and Animal Right Clinical research should be done in accordance of the Ethical Principles for Medical Research Involving Human Subjects, outlined in the Helsinki Declaration of 1975 (revised 2013). Clinical studies that do not meet the Helsinki Declaration will not be considered for publication. Human subjects should not be identifiable, such that patients’ names, initials, hospital numbers, dates of birth, or other protected healthcare information should not be disclosed. For animal subjects, research should be performed based on the National or Institutional Guide for the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals, and the ethical treatment of all experimental animals should be maintained. 3. Conflict of Interest Statement The corresponding author must inform the editor of any potential conflicts of interest that could influence the authors’ interpretation of the data. Examples of potential conflicts of interest are financial support from or connections to companies, political pressure from interest groups, and academically related issues. In particular, all sources of funding applicable to the study should be explicitly stated.

Withdrawal

1. Withdrawal of a submitted manuscript must be confirmed by the consent of all the submitted manuscript authors, and will be withdrawn by submitting a statement of reason.
2. However, who have completed the prescribed membership procedures, and membership cannot be withdrawn after the membership procedures.

Copyright and Licensing

1. The Copyright and Licensing of Articles in the Published Journal belong to Northeast Asian Studies Journal Institute (J-INSTITUTE).
2. Pursuant to Article 3 (Purpose) of the Articles of Association, the purpose of this Society is to enhance the international visibility of the academic achievements of researchers in Northeast Asia and to contribute to the globalization of domestic researchers. Accordingly, the Society provides its scholarly articles on an Open Access(CC-BY) basis.
3. Certify that it is an open access journal from Vol. 1 (No. 1) on June 30, 2016, when it was first published.
4. Journal published by J-INSTITUTE is an open access journal. All articles are published under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY). This license permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction provided that the authors, citation details and publisher are clearly identified. For any reuse or distribution, make clear that the article is made available under a Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY).
5. Authors may keep copies of their article in an institution of their choice or in other repositories.

Article Processing Charge (APCs)

1. Open Access Policy: Journals is an open access journal, therefore, the articles will be freely available to everyone, including those who don’t subscribe to Journals. To cover the cost of publishing, authors pay an article submission, publication and admission membership fee. See fees in the page of submission paper(However, Paper submission and review fees are free of charge).
2. Benefits of High Visibility: The article is made freely available via websites. Self-archiving policy: Authors can post the final, published PDF of their article on a website, institutional repository, or other free public server.
3. Conflict of Interest: We do not receive any funding support from any government, company, association and organization, which means we are independent of any conflicts of interest in the direction of publication of the journal.
4. Countries outside Northeast Asia track is based on the nationality of the corresponding author.
